Department of Marketing in Moscow, Russia, invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of Marketing.

 

Requirements

 

The general requirements for the postdoctoral fellowship positions are the following:

  • Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field of Marketing, Consumer Behaviour or related areas which was awarded over the last 5 years or received before starting work at HSE in a relevant field by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;
  • Candidates should have a strong background in quantitative research and data analysis, ability to analyze and interpret survey/experimental data in opensource software (preferably in R/Python), experience in eye-tracking research is a plus.
  • Fluent English is an obligatory condition as research and other activities are conducted in English. Knowledge of Russian is not required;
  • Relevant experience will be an asset although not required.

 

The position involves:

  • working under the direct supervision of Dr. Vera Rebiazina, Head of Department of Marketing;
  • participants are encouraged to pursue their own research along with working on Department of Marketing research projects such as:

o  The project "Consumer Trust as a Factor of Digital Economy Development in Context of Global Crisis" is aimed at developing a mechanism for transforming consumer trust in a turbulent environment and economic uncertainty caused by digital transformation and global crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Particular attention within the project is paid to the interaction between consumers and digital technologies, as part of identifying the factors that form consumer trust in the digital environment.

  • writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the Department of Marketing;
  • participation in the events of the Department of Marketing and other contribution to the Department’s development;
  • public presentations of candidate’s own research to the academic community;
  • some teaching is encouraged, though not required.

 

Conditions

Appointments are made for one year. Postdoctoral fellows have high opportunity of renewal of the contract (no more than two times) in case of outstanding performance.

HSE University offers postdoctoral fellows a competitive salary, the standard medical insurance plan, a working space equipped with a computer and free Internet access at the University.

The Department of Marketing offers access to its data, equipment, and facilities, including:

(1) The database of extensive longitudinal survey of consumers that has been conducted by the Department of Marketing from 2017 to the present, containing over 10,000 responses.

(2) Russian monitoring of the economic situation and health of the population of the Higher School of Economics, a representative socio-economic survey of households.

(3) Eye-tracker Gazepoint GP3.
