The general requirements for the postdoctoral fellowship positions are the following:

  • Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field of Computer Science or related areas which was awarded over the last 5 years or received before starting work at HSE in a relevant field by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;
  • Candidates should have a strong background in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics, ability to work in (small) teams, conduct research in the fields of Data Mining including Graph Mining, Machine Learning or NLP, work with Python libraries popular in the field (scikit-learn, TensorFlow [also PyTorch or Keras], BigARTM, Apache Spark, etc.) and/or work with specific programs for Data Mining and FCA like SPMF or ConExp. A good knowledge and desire to work with Formal Concept Analysis (FCA, also known as Concept or Galois Lattices), Combinatorial Search and Optimization is also welcome. Ability to develop your own algorithms and with HPC and BigData technologies would be a plus.
