The Faculty of HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics in Moscow of the Higher School of Economics, Russia invites applications for full-time, tenure-track positions of Assistant Professor in AI for telecommunications and related fields.

Requirements

The general requirements for the tenure track positions are the following:

·        Candidates must hold a recent PhD in the field telecommunication system and/or networks, which was awarded over the past 5 years or received before starting work at HSE in a relevant field by an internationally recognized university and has been assessed by external reviewers as having the potential to pursue research that is publishable in leading peer-reviewed journals;

·         Teaching experience at leading foreign universities is desirable;

·        Knowledge of Russian is not required as research and teaching are both conducted in English. Therefore, fluent English is obligatory.

The Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics at HSE University (Moscow campus) seeks to appoint a talented researcher and scholar to the role of Assistant Professor. We welcome applications from those with research interests in the broad field of Artificial Intelligence for the wireless and wired communications. We are particularly eager to hear from applicants with expertise in the fields of artificial intelligence for 5G/5GA systems and networks, edge computing, digital twins, robotics. The successful candidate is expected to have a proven track of Q1/Q2 publications. He/she will be expected conduct teaching including student supervision, publish high-quality research in top peer-reviewed journals, as well as participation in industrial projects. The research direction is supervised by the internationally renowned professor with Scopus h-index >50.

Conditions

Tenure track positions are only available on a full-time, residential basis.

Overall, appointments are usually made for an initial three-year period (starting September 2025) and, upon successful completion of an interim review, contracts are normally extended for a further three years until the tenure review.
