The Institute of Education of Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia) invites applications for 2 Postdoctoral research positions in the fields of Adult learning, Skills and Competencies Assessment and Development.

The Centre of Instructional Design and Competencies Development manages the OECD Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) in Russian Federaion (see also: www.oecd.org/site/piaac) under direct supervision of Dr. Oleg Podolskiy and plans ambitious research activities for 2014-2015.

Successful candidate is expected to:

• Analyze the results of PIAAC according to previously developed research plan,
• Prepare reports and expertise recommendations on the basis of analysis performed,  
• Plans and realizes research in the field of Competencies, Skills and Learning Outcomes Assessment,
• Support the delivery of the next round of PIAAC in Russian Federation,
• Write hot-topic research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the centre.

Requirements:

• PhD in the related field of social sciences, notably in research methodology, psychology, education, applied statistics, economics, educational policy,
• a strong background in data processing and data analysis,
• publications related to subject matter,
• fluent English,
• ability to work under pressure and cope with challenges.
• willingness to set and achieve goals relevant to the area of research
