The Higher School of Economics invites applications for full-time, tenure-track positions of Assistant Professor, or higher, at the Faculties of Sociology at its Moscow and Perm campuses. We welcome candidates with recent PhD degrees and excellent backgrounds and notably a proven ability to conduct high-level research based upon empirical techniques using appropriate research designs and methods.

The HSE is a young, dynamic, fast-growing Russian research university which provides unique research opportunities and belongs now to the 300 best in Social studies according to the recent QS ranking.

Requirements:

• Recent Ph.D. in Sociology
• Fluent English (knowledge of Russian is not required)
• Ability and high motivation to conduct high-quality research publishable in reputable peer-reviewed journals

Generally appointments will be made for an initial three-year period and upon successful completion of an interim review, contracts would normally be extended for a further three years until the tenure review.
