International Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research (School of Psychology)

The Higher School of Economics International Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research (ILSCR) in Moscow, Russia invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of social psychology, cross-cultural psychology, economic, and organizational psychology.

The job involves:

• working under the supervision of Seger Breugelmans and Nadezhda M. Lebedeva, heads of the ILSCR.
• participants are encouraged to pursue their own research in parallel with working on ILSCR 's research projects:

1. psychology of acculturation and cultural transmission;
2. socio-cultural factors of mutual adaptation of migrants and the host population;
3. socio-psychological consequences of economic and cultural change.

• writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the Lab
• teaching at the Master’s program “Applied Social Psychology” (possible courses for teaching: Work and Organizational Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Research seminar “Economics and Organizational Psychology” and “Social and Cross-Cultural Psychology”, Theory and Methodology of Modern Psychology, etc.)  
• participation in organization of the events (annual summer school is ILSCR, annual research seminar “Culture matters”, etc.) and other contribution to the Lab’s development

The Lab offers access to its databases and analytical software, as well as data processing support.

Requirements:

• a PhD in a relevant field
• publications in English in international peer-reviewed journals (minimum 2);
• experience in data analysis using SPSS; knowledge of AMOS and MPlus programs (CFA, SEM, multilevel modeling) is desirable, but not required;
• basic sociological or psychological education (BA/MA/MSc), or topic of PhD research should be close to the topics mentioned above;
• ability to work in a team;
• fluent English;
• relevant experience is an asset although not required.
