PAIS Laboratory

Postdoctoral research positions. Deadline: April 1, 2015

The Higher School of Economics Laboratory of Process-Aware Information Systems (PAIS Lab) in Moscow is invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of in process-aware information system architectures and analysis.

The job involves:

• Working under the direct supervision of prof. Irina Lomazova;
• Participants are encouraged to pursue their own research in parallel with working on research projects of PAIS Lab in broad area of PAIS, including development of methods to design, analyze, improve and repair PAIS’s architecture and performance;
• Writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the PAIS Lab;
• Some teaching as well as public presentations of candidate’s own research are also encouraged;
• Participation in organization of the events and other contribution to the PAIS Lab’s development.

Requirements:

• A solid background in Computer Science or Information Systems with an interest in PAIS analysis, process mining and/or information system architecture (demonstrated by a relevant PhD from a recognized international research university);
• Strong background in at least some of the following fields: (1) process modeling and analysis; (2) formal methods of software engineering including program verification and specification; (3) process mining, data mining and machine learning; (4) business process management
• Good communicative skills in English, both in speaking and in writing;
• Candidates are expected to realize research ideas in terms of prototype software, so software development skills are needed.
