The Higher School of Economics, the Center for Institutional Studies (CInSt) invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of higher education studies.
Topics of interest include but are not restricted to:
· Faculty salaries, contractsand career concerns;
· Academic inbreeding;
· Faculty productivity, teaching and research in Russian universities;
· University rankings;
· University governance.
CInSt has access to educational statistics in Russia and rich survey data including several datasets which contain information on faculty salaries, university characteristics and funding of Russian universities.
Required qualifications:
We are looking for highly motivated and independently working researchers with interest in higher education. Applicants should have a strong theoretical and empirical background in economics, sociology or education (a PhD degree in Education/Sociology/Economics from a recognized university). Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
Appointments will be normally made for one year.
