Interdisciplinary Empirical Studies (Perm)

The Higher School of Economics Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Empirical Studies in Perm, Russia invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in economics, applied mathematics, computer science, and marketing for the Group for Applied Markets and Enterprises Studies (GAMES). GAMES conduct their research in empirical industrial organization, marketing modelling and operations research. Most scientific projects intend to estimate the demand for goods and services as well as estimate production functions.
The job involves:
· working under the direct supervision of Dmitriy Potapov, Associate Professor, a HSE-Perm Deputy Director
· participants are encouraged to pursue their own research in parallel with working onGAMES research projects in empirical industrial organization, marketing modelling and operations research
· writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the Lab
· participation in organization of the events and other contribution to the Lab’s development
· some teaching as well as public presentations of the candidate’s own research are also encouraged
Requirements:
- a PhD from an international research university in such fields as: economics, applied mathematics, computer science, and marketing
- a strong background in conceptual work and empirical work
- ability to work in a team,
- fluent English
- relevant experience is an asset although not required
