Postdoctoral research positions. Deadline: April 1, 2016

The Higher School of Economics, School of Psychology in Moscow, Russia invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of cognitive and developmental neuroscience. We use behavioral, psychophysiological, neuroimaging and meta-analyses techniques to study cognitive processes such as attention and working memory in various domains (i.e., verbal, visual-spatial, numeric). We typically work with school-age children and young adults.

The job involves:

· participants are encouraged to pursue their own research in parallel with working on Neuropsy Lab’s research projects in three broad areas:

o cognitive processes

o cognitive development

o bilingualism

· screening and recruiting participants, managing and analyzing data, working with children and their parents, assisting in experimental paradigm development and performing lab and administrative duties (e.g., assisting with IRB protocols and grants)

· writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the Lab

· participation in organization of the events and other contribution to the Lab’s development

· public presentations of candidate’s own research to the researchers in the field and the broader academic community

· some teaching is encouraged, though not required.

The Lab functions within the School of Psychology, which offers access to various psychophysiological and neuroimaging techniques (eye-tracker, TMS, EEG, fMRI) and analytical software.

Requirements:

- a PhD from an international research university in such fields as: Psychology, Neuroscience or relevant field.

- a strong background with programming and statistical analysis packages.

- ability to work in a team.

- fluent in English

- fluent in Russian (preferred, but not required)

- relevant experience is an asset although not required
