The International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis (DeCAn Lab)

The International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis (DeCAn Lab) at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russia invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the fields of Decision Theory, Social Choice, Game Theory, Mechanism Design and related subjects.

The job involves:

• conducting research under direct supervision of Professor Fuad Aleskerov and other senior Laboratory members;
• participation or some form of involvement in DeCAn’s research projects in such broad areas as:

o  Theoretic analysis of various choice rules and procedures,

o  Application of choice theory to real-world issues;

• writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the researchers of the Lab;
• participation in organization of scientific events;
• presentation of candidate’s own research;
• some form of teaching (encouraged, though not required).

The Lab offers access to its own databases and analytical software, as well as to the main collections of electronic publications and other resources that HSE is subscribed to.

Requirements:

a PhD from an international research university in such fields as mathematics, theoretical physics, computer science, economic theory, political science;

a strong background in general university level mathematics;

ability to work in a team;

fluent English;

relevant experience is an asset although not required.
