Institute of Education of the National Research University Higher School of Economics invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of higher education studies.

The job involves:
- participants are encouraged to pursue their own research within the research projects in the following broad areas:
o Transformation of the national higher education systems;
o Higher education regional studies;
o University strategic development
o Students’ experiences and trajectories;
o Effectiveness of educational practices, technologies and formats.
- writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals also in co-authorship with the members of the Lab or the Centre
- participation in organization of the events and other contribution to the Lab’s or the Centre’s development
- public presentations of candidate’s own research to the researchers in the field and the broader academic community
- teaching is encouraged, though not required.
The Institute of Education conducts annual empirical studies that provide extensive data for the researchers in the above-mentioned areas. The Lab and the Centre offer access to the databases and analytical software also.
Required qualifications
We are looking for highly motivated and independently working researchers with interest in higher education studies. Applicants should have a strong theoretical and empirical background in economics, sociology or education (a PhD degree in Education/Sociology/Economics from a recognized university). Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
