International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation

The Higher School of Economics International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation in Moscow, Russia invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of personality psychology and well-being.

The job involves:

• working under the direct supervision of Dr. Dmitry A. Leontiev and Dr. Kennon M. Sheldon
• participants are encouraged to pursue their own research in parallel with working on the research projects conducted by the International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation in 3 broad areas:

o  Attitudes to loneliness, solitude, and well-being

o  Motivation for solitude and experiences in solitude

o  Self-determination theory perspectives on solitude and well-being

• writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation
• participation in organization of events and contribution to the Lab’s development
• public presentations of candidate’s own research to the researchers in the field and the broader academic community
• some teaching is encouraged, though not required.

The International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation offers access to the university’s research infrastructure (library resources, databases, software, etc.).

Requirements:

• a PhD from an international research university in such fields as: Psychology, Educational Psychology, Education
• a strong background in psychometrics and quantitative methodology, psychology of motivation and well-being
• ability to work in a team,
• fluent English
• relevant experience is an asset although not required
